New Officers For 2012

Our UMW Group is pleased to announce our new officers for 2012!

President - Ellen McCoy
Co-Vice Presidents - Beth Haut and Dianne Pence

Missions - Sharon Dahlman
Sunshine - Debbie Lyle

We are very excited to have this wonderful group of women leading us into the New Year.
All women are welcome to be part of the work and fellowship that is UMW.

Did you know that our UMW unit is part of an 800,000 strong global community of women? Our Purpose speaks to encouraging individual spiritual growth, participating in a creative, supportive fellowship of women, and supporting missions in our community, our nation, and the world.We are blessed to have many wonderful women who are actively engaged in carrying on this important work here at Greensburg UMC.   Through their commitment and hard work, we have been able to support many missions, some of which are based right here in our local area, and many far beyond.   There is never a shortage of needs, so one of the harder things we have to decide is where our support should go. 

We want to gratefully thank every member of our congregation who has supported us with pledges to UMW during our annual pledge drive, help with some of our hands-on projects, like serving at Open M, baking a dessert for one of our events, and of course enthusiastically supporting our fund-raisers, the big one this year being the Spaghetti Dinner/Talent Show.  We definitely could not have done it without your help.   And please rest assured that if you are a woman and committed to what UMW is all about, there is a place for you in our group!  God bless each of you.

If you are not a United Methodist Women Member yet, we are taking in new members at any time. Come with a friend or come alone, because once you get here you will not be alone.

Our meetings are from 7:00 to 8:30, on the third Monday of each month, from September through May, and include time for a sharing of devotions and prayer, a short business meeting, sometimes a special program and always time for fellowship (including great refreshments!) and fun.  Please call Ellen McCoy if you need child care while you attend the meeting.

 




We are still looking for new members, come join in the fellowship and fun.
