Director of Christian Education/Lay Ministries Needed
 GUMC has a part-time (20 hours/week) job opening for a staff person who will direct  and coordinate leadership and volunteer development and effectiveness  in overall church programs,  particularly in the area of Christian Education.  Requirements are people, communication and computer skills plus a positive, team minded attitude.   Resume may be turned into Rev. Mitch, Jenny Troyer or to the office.  Deadline to apply is Thursday, July 29, 2010.

 
Sunday Morning Pre-School Caregiver Wanted
The Education Team has recommended that we hire a Sunday morning pre-school caregiver to oversee the care of our pre-school children during our Sunday morning services.  This person must be available every Sunday to assist in the Pre-school room across from the Nursery.  This person would work with volunteers to prepare and maintain a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing to our parents.  In the event the caregiver must be absent, the caregiver must arrange for a substitute.  The caregiver must have CPR and First Aid certification.  The salary for the position is $40 per Sunday. Softball Team Advances To Final Eight
Our softball team will play in round 3 of the Akron Area Church League Playoffs on Tuesday, August 3rd. A win will put them in the semi-finals. An exact time has not yet been announced but as soon as it is we will let you know. Come out and cheer our team on to the League Championship!!

Help Loving Hands Preschool Make A Fresh Start
We are looking for volunteers to help paint the preschool classrooms. If you are available to help, please meet at the church on Saturday August 7th at 8:30 AM. If you have any questions, contact preshool director, Shannon Miller or Abby Kuwatch.

Dog And Cat Extravaganza
